Volunteer.

Volunteers play an important part in our success. Have a few spare hours? Assist with campaigns, help on social media, plan events, or offer your other talents. We will match your skills to our needs.

What volunteers actually do.

Most of it is unglamorous and all of it counts. Setting up and breaking down at camps, keeping our social accounts alive, calling facilities that asked for information and never heard back, and helping at fundraisers.

If you have a specific skill, say so on the form. Photography, bookkeeping, grant writing, and translation are all things we currently pay for or go without.

Time

A few hours a month is truly useful.

Commitment

No minimum. Some people help once a year.

With children

Any role working directly with children requires a background check.

Remote

Social, writing, and admin roles can be done from anywhere.

What happens after you sign up.

Someone reads your note and replies, usually within a couple of days, and it will be a person rather than an automated welcome sequence.

The first conversation is short and practical. What you are good at, how much time you actually have, and what is happening near you. We would rather match you to one thing you will keep doing than add you to a list you hear from twice a year.

If nothing fits right now, we will say that too, and come back to you when it changes.
