Host a day.
For a Day pairs a professional with a child for one hands-on day in a real workplace. Hosting takes a few hours and no special preparation, and for the child it often lands harder than a year of being told they have potential.
What hosting involves.
We meet with you first, usually for 20 minutes on a call, to understand what your day actually looks like and what a young visitor could safely see and do. Then we build the day around that rather than handing you a script.
You do not need a presentation, a curriculum, or an activity we designed. The point is the real thing. A kitchen, a shop floor, a studio, a courtroom, a truck cab. Children who have been told they are not much of anything respond to being trusted with something real.
Photo placeholderTime
Half a day is plenty. A full day if it suits the work.
What we handle
Matching, family contact, transportation, and anything the child needs to take part.
What you provide
Your ordinary workday, and an hour of real attention inside it.
Safety
A parent or one of our people is present throughout. A child is never alone with a host.
Photo placeholderWho this works for.
Almost any trade or profession, and the less office-like the better. Children have seen offices on television. Most have never watched someone weld, proof dough, tune an engine, or run a sound board.
If you are not sure your work is interesting enough, it probably is. Tell us what you do and we will tell you plainly whether we can build a day around it.
